  22. Swapping surface mounted chips could be difficult... (Though possible with 
  23. much patience & care).

  25. As an aside, the IO chip might be responsible, but unlikely if nothing else 
  26. has gone `puff`.  Is "Paula" the IO chip?  I'm not sure off the top of my 
  27. head, at the moment...
